Haley is a Native New England-based multi-media artist who has been shooting since the age of fifteen, as well as focused on painting and drawing since the age of eight. With influence by family and a line of inherited attention to detail and colors from her grandmother who was an oil painter, and her father who is a woodworker, she maintained a dedicated resilience to stick with the arts throughout grade school, and beyond. She put down the arts to study conservation, anthropology, and holistic medicine and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Arizona by the time she was twenty-six as a first-generation college graduate.
Her art practice has been mostly self-taught. She looks to her peers and family members that are practicing street artists as inspiration. Moving to New York City in 2020 boosted her confidence and practice by studying with established artists such as Laetitia Soulier, M. Scott Vogel. Albano Guatti. Through observation and being in the bullpen with more established artists she has witnessed processes and output. She believes in logic first, before passion, and that it isn't necessarily the tools you use but the presence behind the project.
Whether I am in front of or behind the camera and canvas, I believe it is a language. The body and brush are a way of communicating… expression, pain, joy, fear, trauma, success, passion... There is so much to say that can be wordless. Almost like love, the universal language that is felt, in every dialect, and language. Love is felt. Creating with my hands, capturing moments in time, and developing an image to me, is god. My highest form of communication. To invest in the arts is to invest in synergetic beauty, which is the essence of our divine holistic sensuality.
